1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use Savor:
- Account information (email address, Apple ID identifier, or Google account identifier)
- Body constitution quiz responses and your resulting constitution profile
- Basic profile details you provide during onboarding (sex, birth year, wellness goal)
- Subscription status
- Food photos you choose to submit for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)-based food analysis
- Limited app-usage events (such as app opens) used to measure retention
- When advertising measurement is enabled in the iOS app: device identifiers used for ad attribution (such as IDFV, and IDFA if you allow App Tracking Transparency), and hashed account identifiers (such as a hashed email) used for Advanced Matching
2. Camera, Photos, and Location
Savor accesses your camera or photo library only if you choose to use the optional food-photo scan feature — see "TCM-Based Food Analysis Feature" below for how that photo is processed. We do not access your device location.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Determine your TCM body constitution from your quiz responses
- Personalize your daily habit plan, reminders, and lock-screen widget
- Analyze food photos you submit to generate TCM-based dietary insights
- Manage your subscription
- Measure aggregate retention to improve the app
- Measure advertising performance and attribution when advertising measurement is enabled in the iOS app
- Enable account deletion upon request
4. Third-Party Services
Savor uses the following third-party services:
- Supabase — cloud database and authentication for your account data, quiz responses, profile, and subscription status. Data is stored in secure, encrypted databases.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple (we receive only the identifiers Apple provides and never see your Apple ID password) and In-App Purchases for billing.
- Google — Sign in with Google when you choose that option (we receive the identifiers Google provides for your account).
- RevenueCat — subscription management. Receives purchase and device information to determine your subscription status. When advertising measurement is enabled in the iOS app, RevenueCat may also share subscription conversion events with advertising partners (including Meta) for attribution.
- Meta Platforms— when advertising measurement is enabled in the iOS app, Meta's measurement SDK may receive device identifiers (including IDFA when you allow App Tracking Transparency), hashed account identifiers for Advanced Matching, and app install / activation signals; and subscription trial and purchase conversion events may be reported to Meta via RevenueCat's Conversions API. We use this for advertising measurement and attribution; we do not sell your quiz answers or food photos to Meta.
- Maileroo — email delivery service used to send one-time sign-in codes to your email address.
- AI Service Provider (Google AI and Alibaba Cloud AI) — processes food photos you submit to generate TCM-based analysis. AI Service Providers do not permanently store your images and data.
5. TCM-Based Food Analysis Feature
When you use the TCM-based food analysis feature, the following data is securely sent to Supabase first, and then forwarded to our third-party AI service providers (Google AI and/or Alibaba Cloud AI) for processing:
- Your food image (base64 encoded)
- Your TCM body constitution results
- Your personalised settings
AI service providers do not permanently store your images and data. The images are used exclusively for TCM analysis and are discarded after processing.
When you save a food log, Savor stores the photo securely in Supabase with row-level security, linked only to your account for seamless cross-device sync and easy restore.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Delete your account and all associated data at any time
7. Children's Privacy
Savor is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above.
